Independence

Every day my son grows a little older and gets a little more independent. It's so exciting to see him accomplish things on his own! My baby is no more.

Maconaquah Park

Today we met up with my family at a park in Peru which is halfway between Goshen and Indy. We had a sweet little day! We packed lunches and enjoyed the great outdoors! There was even a basketball court to keep the older kids occupied! It was a really beautiful park with flowing creeks and hiking trails, and huge hills! We had such a great time and Judah had a great time exploring the land! (It was a good thing I brought extra clothes bc he got wet twice!)

We went from snow to sun in a week! We are so happy to welcome spring!!

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!

With all of this amazing warm weather and being outside all of the time, Jude has a new fascination with all forms of transportation! He pays attention to everything and can spot even the tiniest plane in the sky! He points out cars, trucks, trains, motorcycles, and every time he sees a bike he shouts his brother's name because Riley rides a bike! He is so smart and it is so amazing to see all the he understands and puts together each day!
Along with forms of transportation, he also loves to find squirrels, birds, dogs (of course), and butterflies!
He loves being outside and we are so thankful that it's finally warm!!

Beso me Mucho!

Jude loves to kiss. A lot! I love this about him!
He kisses all sorts of things. People, books, toys, every dog in sight at the park! His favorite things to kiss though are his stuffed animals. He kisses them all, but he does have his favorite, Boo! Boo is an Internet sensation dog and he loves to watch his clips on YouTube! One day we were shopping and came across Boo in stuffed animal
form and he just HAD to have him! Judah just loves him and calls him booboo!
Back to kissing! Most days before naps and bedtime he will make a kissing noise while heading to his room, and this means that he wants to kiss his friends! He has like 20 and he wants to kiss them all! It's the most darling thing!

A Baby in Our Bed

So Jude hasn't been feeling well the last few days. Feverish off and on, a steady stream of thick snot, and a newly developed cough. It is absolutely the worst thing for a parent to see your kiddo sick! I wish I could take it all from him and give it to myself! Jude's little nose is raw and you can tell it hurts so bad to have it wiped! But the damn snot keeps coming:( we are also getting two year molars and slobber has been just falling out of his mouth 24/7. I feel so bad for this kid, but he's been a real trooper so that's good!
The last few nights Jude has been waking up in the middle of the night and we can't get him back to sleep, so to mama and dada's room he goes. We don't often cosleep, but when we do you just never know how it's going to go! Sometimes he sleeps perfectly and it's awesome! And then other times he insists on being the horizontal bar in a capital H! Which is not so awesome, even in our huge king size bed! So, being the desperate for sleep mama that I am, I usually just find any place in the bed that I fit and try to get a few hours of zzzz's.
Last night he joined us around 1am and when I brought him in our bed he kept getting down and going to the fridge. He selected the carton of blueberries, brought them up to our bed, and snacked on blueberries for the next 30 min. It was cracking me up! When he was finished he handed me the carton and went peacefully to sleep. Lol! He is so silly!
I really hope that he feels better soon! I am so over this season of colds and the flu!
