Well after a few good nights sleep and a much less fussy baby I finally feel as though I have a grip on life again and can write this post. With the little sleep I was getting these last couple weeks are a little blurry, so I will do my best :)
Ok little man, 7 months old, quite the big deal! You have had the highest highs and the lowest lows this month. You have been VERY busy learning new things and growing, growing, growing. We had Christmas at our house with your Grandma Carrol and Uncle Mike, and then a couple weeks later we had Christmas again with your Baba, Aunt Mimi, Uncle Nick and your cousins! You got very spolied with attention, love, and presents! Unfortunately, you were quite the Mr. Fuss Pants pretty much the whole time, but your family still loves you :)
In a matter of one week you sprouted your frist tooth, learned to army crawl, and started pulling yourself up on things. WOAH!
So, here is what is up with you:
Sleep- NOW, you are sleeping pretty good for the most part! We occasionally get nights where you sleep through the night! I pray for them and am so thankful when we get one here and there! That along with Friday night daddy has baby duty help me keep my batteries charged! (Thanks wonderful hubby of mine!) For the first couple of weeks in the month you thought it would be a good idea to wake SEVERAL times through the night and not only that, but want to stay up for an hour or two at say, 1am. Not cool buddy, not cool! Let's just say, those were not my finest days, but enough of the past (let's make sure we keep that in the past please!!!)
So, you are ready for bed every night at 6:15 after a bath, massage, book and 6oz of breastmilk in a bottle. You usually sleep until 3 or 3:30 when you wake to nurse and them sleep again till 5:30 or 6:30. We are working on the sleeping later ordeal, but, I have (most days) gotten used to waking up early. Did you hear that mom?? She used to have to DRAG (sing) me out of bed in highschool! As far as naps go, he is what they call a snapper- short napper. Usually takes several 30-60 min naps in a day to add up to 2-4 hrs. Every once in a blue moon, we get a 2 hr nap! Mama likey those days!

Food- Still breastfeeding, which is going great, with the exception of the nursing strike you decided to take during the madness of the non sleeping days. (are you all getting how horrible these weeks were??) At 7 1/2 months we upped your meals to 3 times a day. Still nursing the same, just having a little food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Your most recent food loves are blueberries (which you hated the first time, but love now!) and YoBaby yogurt which you LOVE! I make the baby food so I have been mixing things together to change it up. I would say his favorite is a combo of apples and pears. He loves his food and devoures it in minutes! He enjoys Baby MumMum crackers and is looking forward to trying Puffs soon! He absolutely loves to drink from his sippy cup and is a good way to get him out of a fussy state! We have a very good little eater on our hands!

Fine Motor skills- Jude is very good at finding his paci and putting it back in his mouth. He can pick up a small object and pass it from one hand to another. He picks up bottles and sippy cups and can drink them himself. Tries to feed himself with spoon, but needs work. LOVES to take drinks of water
from mama's big girl cup!
Gross Motor Skills- Like I mentioned above Jude has learned to army crawl, and ALMOST regular crawl. If you put a newspaper in front of the kid (or across the room) he will get to it! He will stand for a few seconds by himself and is starting to take steps while holding onto the coffee table. He loves to walk with assistance!
Teeth- We have one lonley tooth! (which is most likely the culpret for the non sleep phase, that and Jude's first cold). It is a very cute tooth! I can see another one starting to come to the surface, so soon he will have two bottom toofers :)
Personality- This little boy is as smiley as they come! He loves to ham it up for anyone that will give him attention! He will still go to just about anyone, although I am guessing the seperation anxiety will set in soon. Jude loves to give kisses (be prepared to get wet!) and hugs and is a very sweet baby! He loves to go go go, so don't expect much cuddle time. He is WAY too busy for that! His new favorite game is "Where's Judah??" (peekaboo) to which he just kackles up a storm! He is using his voice more and more and has started this yelling thing, not upset, just loud :) He really is such a joy to be around (most of the time... aahem).
This kid loves to look outside. My mom got him his own little chair for Christmas and he just loves to sit there and look outside. Cutest thing ever!
I know I am probably missing so much, but that's all I can think of for now! Let me tell ya, this mothering gig is tough work! Hardest, most important, and best job I have ever had. Lots and lots of challenges came my way this month, but next week you will be 8 months and it will be a whole new chapter! Let's hope it's a better one (where mama gets more sleep!) I can't tell you how many times I said this month, "Thank goodness he's cute!", which he so is! Mama and daddy love ya baby!
