182.5 Days...

That's right, my baby is 6 months old! These milestones just keep flying right on by me! I can't believe we have had Jude in our lives for half of a year already! Time flies when you are having fun (does caring for an infant count?) right! We have a very sweet (somestimes stubborn) little boy on our hands! He is strong willed, sometimes too much for his own good, and always want's to be a part of the action. There is little time for sitting still. This kid wants to go, go, go! He is rolling ALL OVER! I walk out of the room for a minute and when I return he is across the room with a big smile on his face. He would be a happy camper if he could bounce all day long. Not only in his jumper, but also on your lap, the couch, your stomach, anywhere you place his little feet really! Needless to say, I am developing some pretty large arm muscles! He had his shots at his apt yesterday and took them like a champ! we ran some erands after andhe was a dream, didn't make a peep! THEN, when we got home the dramatics started. Talk about a fuss butt all night and then slept about 6 hrs total (so not enough or a happy baby) which means this mama got about 3 hrs tops :/ such is life!
Sleep- He is sleeping pretty good *most nights* He goes to bed around 7:00- 7:30 and wakes up once to nurse anywhere from 3-5 am. Then is up for the day from 6:30- 7:30. I can live with that. He has taken a liking to napping in bed with mommy and it is very rare that I can get him to nap in his own crib for the last 3 weeks or so. We most def need to work on this!
Food- WE STARTED SOLIDS!! Yay! He is doing great with them too! First up was avocado, then sweet potato, and now zucchini! He does really well with swallowing especially since we skipped the rice cereal stage and hasn't been practicing for the past 2 mon like most babies. Still nursing every 2-4 hours and is very down to business. Not a comfort nurser in the least. Likes to eat and go. I also started giving him a sippy cup with water occasionally. He is always dying to get a drink of water from my cup, so we are trying that a little too!

Diapers- Just ordered cloth diapers, so stay tuned for a post on that when I get them. Am I crazy?? Probably! But, just think of all the $ we will save :)
Stats- Weighed in at 16lbs 7oz (really thought he'd weigh more than that!) and 27 inches long. That puts him in the 35th percentile! His growing has slowed down a bit.
Jude-isms:
Has started grunting (really not my favorite sound of his)
He has been able to pick his pacifier up and put it in his mouth for a while now. I think this is so cute!
He rolls all over in his crib. It's funny how we find him some mornings!
He thinks daddy is hilarious!
Has the sweetest laugh and smiles constantly :)
He reaches for mama most of the time.
Has his toes in his mouth constantly (and pretty much anything he can get in there as well!)
His pediatrician commented that she thinks he will be an early walker!
He loves to give kisses (slobber all over your face)!
He is a champ at sitting up unassisted.
Can pick up his toys.
Wants to crawl so bad!
Loves bath time and to kick and splash!
Still loves to run his fingers through his hair when he is sleepy, which is adorable!
Has the ability to melt mommy's heart at the drop of a hat!

What a sweet boy I am raising! Love him so :)

Pre-Thanksgiving

So my wonderful mother in law came to town the Sunday before Thanksgiving to spend some time with the boys and to help get everything in order for the big day! She always brings goodies for the boys! they are so lucky to have her :) Ry got a bears tin with popcorn and Jude got a bears pillow pet! Adorable!
THANK YOU MOM! Couldn't have done it without you!!

Jude's first Thanksgiving!

We were lucky enough to have both of our mothers and my sister's family come in town for Thanksgiving this year! (we missed you Uncle Mike and Riley!) We had a wonderful time shopping, cooking, eating, and relaxing! We love our families so much and feel very greatful that they made the trip to celebrate with us! Jude is a lucky little boy! He is showered with love when our family comes to town, that is for sure!

I love spending the holidays with the ones I love :)

The dj's got us fallin' in love again...

So, the Mansavages came for a visit and Jude and Aila fell in love all over again! The last time they saw eachother they were wee ones so they had a lot of catching up to do! They spent lots of time cooing at eachother and rolling on the floor! Jude shared his toys like a good boy and Aila was showing off her verbal skills (the girl can say at least 5 words @ 7 mon! My future daughter in law is a genius I tell ya!!). The parents also had a great time catching up! I think we can all agree that we wished we still lived close to eachother! It was so nice to have their company and we are so thankful that they made the trip to see us! We mostly just hung out at home and watched the bebe's play! We also got to see some other friends that we don't see often! Great weekend all around!!

Could 2 babies be any cuter? I certainly don't think so!!
now it's our turn to make a trip to Chicago!!
