Baby is a growin'!

So, I am feeling like I am getting bigger by the minute! Took some pics today and I can't believe how big my belly is! I am 17 weeks and 4 days! Yikes, 40 weeks is going to be scary! We have our ultrasound next Thursday and I can't wait to see if everything is as it should be and to see if we have a little p or v in there!! I am just hoping that all looks healthy! Thurs can not come soon enough though because it is ALL I can think about and I can't wait to start SHOPPING!! I usually have Thursdays off, but since our office is closed on Fri for Christmas Eve we are opening for the morning. Work from 9-12, Dr. apt at 1, then getting ready to head home to GOSHEN to see my family! I am SOO excited! Oh, and I am not telling you guys (my mom and sis) until we get there bc I am a brat :) You will just have to look for the sign when we walk in the door!!

As far as pregnancy goes, I think I am super lucky becuse I feel great! I sometimes wonder if I am supposed to be feeling this good! I THINK I have felt tiny little movements in my belly, but I am not 100% sure. I can't wait to feel something and know for sure! I am so excited to meet this little baby :)

3 Year Wedding Anniversary!

So Wednesday is our actual anniversary, but we decided to go out to a nice dinner and celebrate on Sat. We went to a place downtown called Fogo De Chao. I have heard lots of great things about this Brazilian style steakhouse, but we had never been. Let me tell ya, it was an experience. You pay a set price and you eat as much as you want. (Prego's dream huh?!?!)  First you start off with a salad bar, which was pretty yummy. Then when you are ready for the main course you flip your card to green which means BRING ON THE MEAT! They also bring sides of mashed potatoes, polenta, and fries plantains to your table. Ther are 15 different kinds of meat from filet mingon to lamb to chicken to sausage. They carve off a little for you to try and come back several times if you want. When you are full you just turn your card over to red and they stop coming.  It was very good and a fun dining experience, but if I'm going to shell out that kind of cash I think I would prefer Ruth's Chris, Mortons, or St. Elmos. We enjoyed it, but probably won't go back.

Doug had a Makers on the rocks!

and I had a soda water with lime!

This is one of the meat guys that brings you never ending meat!
After dinner we held hands and walked around the city looking at the pretty lights. We got some Starbucks to keep us warm. I am so blessed to be in such a wonderful marriage! Doug and I love eachother so much and are so excited to be going into the next step of life together!

At the circle looking the monument all lit up!

Love this tree! Wish I could have it at home!!

Oh, I also got a very long massage that night! Baby and I were in heaven! I am so spoiled! Thanks sweetie, I love you sooo much!!

SNOWBALL FIGHT!!

We went for a walk in the snow the other night and they boys decided to have a  snowball fight when we got back home. I did not want to participate bc  I am a huge wuss!

We also got some bouncing draydels that we had alot of fun with!!

Broad Ripple Lights Up!

So we had a great plan last weekend of going to the parade and tree lighting that Broad Ripple has every year! We were hoping for some pretty snow to set the scene (yes, I was actually hoping for snow, so unlike me!). Well, we were out of luck bc it rained the WHOLE day. We decided to brave the rain and go anyway. We have umbrellas right? Well, apparently we need new umbrellas because on our walk to the parade it started raining harder and harder and with the wind basically all of our umbrellas broke. (Note to self- NEED new umbrellas). We were wet when we got there, but decided to stay anyway. The parade was neat and Ry got some candy and we listened to some Christmas music. Then it was time to light the tree! The water must have messed a connection up or something bc the countdown led to HALF of a tree lighting. It was kind of a let down, but a funny story now!

The next morning we kept the tradition of painting Christmas ornaments. I LOVE doing this, pretty sure Riley still enjoys it, but Doug is not really a craft kinda guy. So I thank him for humoring me every year and participating! I love him so! We each did a 3D ornament and one other one. I also paintred one for the baby! I think they turned out super cute!

My sweeties painting!

Yes, I have a hole in my shirt. Don't judge me, it's a painting shirt :)

3D ones! Ry's, Whitney's and Dougs!

A Perfect Weekend!

Doug and I had a wonderful weekend! On Sat we got all of our Christmas shopping done! My man shopped without a peep of a complaint! I even got him into the mall, I was shocked! I'm a lucky girl ;) After shopping we went to lunch at PF Changs and it was delish! We spent the rest of the night wrapping presents and watching Sex and the City 2 (which was horrible!) and Eclipse which I had to buy the day it came out! Merry Christmas to me :)

Today was great! Lot's of wonderful memories made! We got Ry for a few hours (thanks Angie and Dave for letting us steal him on your weekend!) to decorate the tree. I love seeing Ry put up his favorite decorations first and remembering the decorations we have made or painted in the past. We each hang our own up! We spent the day listening to Christmas music, decortaing the house,  and eating cookies while watching the Bears game. It's so cool to watch Doug and Riley watch the games together now that Riley is a little older! They both really get into it and it's very cute to see them bond :)

I love this time of year because it just feels like such a happy time! We get to see both sides of our families between Thanksgiving and Christmas, which we love! I do get a little sad wishing my daddy was still here though! I miss him so much.
Next weekend we will paint our ornaments for this year and do a couple of other holiday crafts! I can't wait! Here are a few pics of our day!
Love our Chanukah gel clings!

this is a vision of Christmukah!

Happy Hanukkah!

Today is the first day of Hanukkah! Since Doug is Jewish and I am not we celebrate both holidays in our house and usually consider the whole month of December Christmukkah! It works for us and we make the most of it! Here are a few pics of my boys lighting the first night's candle on the Menorah!

I love this time of year, but I could do with out the cold!

Mansavages come to visit!

Our great friends Andy and Erica came to visit a couple of weekends ago! Doug has been friends with them since college and I have loved them since Doug and I started dating 7 years ago! They are always so much fun to hang out with, but recently moved to Chicago, so we don't see them as often as we would like. Erica is also pregnant so it was fun for us to hang out and be prego together. And the boys appreciated having a drinking buddy since they lost theirs a few months back. We hung out Fri night and Sat we met some friends for lunch and us girls went shopping afterwards. We had a blast! We hit up their old fav The Ale Emporium for dinner and met some more friends and then went to their old watering hole Joe's Grill. We had a great time! Thanks for visiting! They just found out they are having a girl and I am SOOOO excited for them!!
pregos

yes, they get a little silly together :)
So good to see you guys! Cant wait for our babes to grow up together!!

15 weeks!

So, it's been a while and thought I'd update! I am 15 weeks pregnant this week! My pregnancy has been going super smooth and I sometimes forget I'm even pregnant! I was pretty nautious for the first 10 weeks or so but never threw up. Smells were bothersome at times, but that has gotten better too! I am finally starting to get some energy back, which is nice! All in all it's been a great pregnancy so far. Got so see our little skittle on an ultrasound at 11 weeks. So tiny. Got to hear the heartbeat at 13 weeks! So magical! We get to find out skittle's gender in 3 weeks. We are SOOOO excited!
I think little skittle looks like an owl here :)

BIG NEWS!!!

So, big news in the Hilder household....
I'M PREGNANT!!!

We are super excited, and a little shocked (even though we were trying) getting used to what this means! So yep, I'm gonna be a mama and I couldn't be more THRILLED! It is still really early (so I won't post this until I tell y'all!) But took a test Sat morning and it said preggers :) That night we hung out with our friends the Thompsons and I experienced my first time hanging out with friends and not being able to knock back a few adult beverages. That will take some getting used to, but sooo worth it!

Life as we know it is changing by the day :)

Already a proud daddy :)

So I took another test on Sunday for peace of mind... I didn't even have to wait 2 seconds for the little + sign to appear!

Here is my first belly pic! Haven't been to the doc yet but I am guessing 4 wks! Man, I am afraid to see how big that belly is gonna get!
So, that's what is going on with us! I promised my sister (who is no doubt just as excited and maybe more than I am) that when I got pregnant I would start a blog so she could see everything since we don't live close. So here you go sissy! I love you!

I got a blog!

So, I got a blog! This is my first time doing this, so bear with me! I felt like this was the best way to share whats new in my life without having to plaster it all over facebook (although I do love facebook!) Anywhoo... I'm kind of excited to start it and I hope you enjoy it!
